Introduction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway:
Total length of Qinghai-Tibet Railway is 1,956km. It ’ s located in the “ Roof of the World ” , passing through mountains, spanning frozen soil. It is at the highest altitude in the world. It ’ s an important part of “ Western China Exploration ” strategy, which is the dream expected by Chinese people for years.
Leador has the honor to be chosen in charge of the MMS project for “ Qinghai-Tibet Railway ” . Having got over the difficulties lead from terrible natural environment, Leador has accomplished “ Qinghai-Tibet Railway ” mapping task successfully within one week. National key lab on Track transportation control and security in BeijingUniversity of transportation took part in this cooperation.
Project Purpose:
Providing visualized 3D data solution for “ Qinghai-Tibet Railway ” GIS, establishing databases for railway central lines, railway accessories (km sign, half-km sign, signal light, ect.), and visualized railway 3D photos.
Project Difficulty:
Working at the average altitude of 4,550 meters on the plateau;
Undergoing sandstorm and sleet, working under the temperature of -30℃;

This realizes infrastructure management, operation simulation and statistical analysis, and makes short and medium term plans or strategic plans for infrastructure maintenance and modification.
